Let's Get the Party Started
In a trade announced earlier this afternoon, the Bulls and Revenge got jiggy with it. Here are the particulars:
Revenge trade Ryan Franklin (.03 10+), Kevin Gregg (.02 09) and his 8th round pick to the Bulls for Ryan Ludwick (.01 10+), James McDonald .05 11+) and Tim Alderson (.05 Mx).
With the trade winds starting to move up a couple of knots, please keep in mind that no trade is official until both parties report it to Rich AND all associated moves have been reported as well. If associated moves are not reported, then the trade is not official and players will not start earning stats for the new teams.
In the case of the Bulls and Revenge, both teams reported their associated moves at the time of the trade.

Going Behind The Scenes
Garret Jones
DoorMatts .05 (Rosales)
Michael Taylor
DoorMatts .05 (Dominguez)
In addition to today's bids, here are a couple of other notes.
First of all, behind the scenes each week Paul Mahlan has done a stellar job of keeping us honest by monitoring and changing the password for the Free Agent Mailbox. This week Paul was off partying at a 5th of July wedding so his dad (and David's dad for that matter as well), Fred, pinch hit. Think Bobby Molinaro, think Jose Morales or some other really good pinch hitter (the all-time leader escapes me). Fred was outstanding. The deadline for making a bid is 3pm Central time. At 3:02pm Central time there was a voicemail waiting for me with the password. Can't get better than that!
If you haven't already, go to the CFCL Forum. A number of new posts have been added. Some for your reading pleasure, one or two for your response. Please chime in with your thoughts.
Hope you all had a Happy and Safe 4th of July! Good luck in the second half of the season.

Taking Stock Mid-Year
We are almost at the halfway point of the year, it's time to see where things stand.
The Line seems to be making every effort to run away with things - holding a double digit point lead for the better part of a couple of months.
The DoorMatts, Copperfields and Bulls are smacking each other around fighting out the various money spots.
The Clowns have a strong chance of moving into the money, but currently hold the valued #5 slot for number 1 Rotation pick and maximum Home Town Discount Budget.
The remainder of the teams need to keep an eye on where they fall for HTD Budget. As of 6/29 this is how it looks.
Clowns .06 (Phillips)
Rebels .04 (Dunn, Lilly)
Ruffins .04 (Wright, Rollins, Corpas, Sanchez, J.)
Revenge .04 (Sanchez, F., Gregg, Lidge)
MooreBetter .03 (LaRoche, An., Loney, Hardy)
Red Hots .03 (Reyes, Molina, Y.)
Given the activity of HTD at this year's draft, striving to receive the maximum budget is paramount for rebuilding teams.
There are a couple of other issues to talk about now that the season is in full swing. I will be posting some thoughts and asking for feedback on the CFCL Forum page soon, so please stop by and weigh in.

Let The Dealing Begin
In a trade announcement that will no doubt send shock waves through the CFCL the Copperfields and Bulls announce:
The Copperfields trade their 16th round pick to the Bulls for David Bush. The Copperfields release Cliff Floyd to make room for, as they stated it, their "new staff ace". Reports out of Milwaukee have Bush heading to the DL, so the Copperfields will have to wait a bit to reap the rewards of this daring deal.
