More from Rotisserie's Founding Fathers

Hot on the heels of the WSJ article about Glen Waggoner's retirement that I linked to earlier today comes this ESPN The Magazine piece by Steve Wulf writing about what appears to be the final Draft for the original Rotisserie League's Founding Fathers.
The article comes with an associated video, which features footage from that Final Draft and interviews with Wulf, Dan Okrent, Glen Waggoner, Rob Fleder, and others. Highly recommended reading/viewing:

Note on the video: I've still got that same T-shirt that Waggoner is wearing in the video. I also had an accompanying ball cap with the RL logo on it, which I loved. Unfortunately, a gust of wind blew it off my head and over the side of a mountian when Michelle and I were in Colorado visiting Bob Monroe. It was a very traumatic experience...

Retirement of an Icon
An article posted in the Online Wall Street Journal last night announces the retirement from fantasy baseball of a Rotisserie League founding father. That leaves just one of the originals left in the league.The article mentions that the orginal owners were invited to Cooperstown a few years ago to be honored on the 25th Anniversary of the league. With the CFCL's 25th Anniversary coming up in 2009, we'd all better start watching our mailboxes for invitations...

Note that it was written by Nando Di Fino, who was one of Sam Walker's assistant in the book Fantasyland. The article also includes a video interview with Di Fino, which doesn't add a whole lot, but the article itself is a great read.
