Red Hots Getting Serious

Continuing the momentum of their trade earlier today, the Red Hots made another deal this time taking on not All-Stars but significant payroll.

The Red Hots traded Dexter Fowler (.02 11+), Pedro Alvarez (.05 Mx), Alcides Escobar (.02 12x), Carlos Villanueva (.02 12+) to the Revenge in exchange for Aramis Ramirez (.26 11+), Lance Berkman (.30 12+), Orlando Cabrera (.10 12+), and Matt Lindstrom (.07 10).

All-Star Trading

Celebrating the All-Star Break, the Red Hots and Killers started bright and early consummating a deal involving six players and two All-Stars.

The Red Hots traded All-Star Yadier Molina (.06 12+), James Loney (.21 12+) and Scott Elbert (.05 12+) to the Killers in exchange for All-Star Ryan Braun (.12 11!), Henry Blanco (.05 12+) and Andres Torres (.05 12+).

All-Star Break Reminders

With the All-Star Break upon us there are a couple of things to keep in mind.

REPORTING DAYS: The ONLY days that you can make moves are Monday, July 12th (essentially making moves for Thursday's [July 15th] game) and Friday, July 16th. If you don't make your moves on Monday, you CANNOT make any moves until Friday.

SALARY CAP: The salary cap increases on Tuesday at noon. The new cap is $3.50. For those teams that have increased their pocketbook, they can take advantage of the new cap with the Friday (July 16th) reporting day.

Sidenote - There is some talk about allowing teams to make moves on the Wednesday (or Tuesday) of the All-Star Break since the cap increases but nothing can be done for three and a half days. As of right now there has been no change. If you would like to voice your opinion, please log in to the CFCL Forum and begin a discussion.

As we enter the second half of the season I will include in the weekly transactions an update of the status of the HTD. Keep in mind that the team occupying the Sweet Spot (trademarked by the Candy Colored Clowns) receives the full HTD budget and all teams lower in the standings receive a proportional share.
