Sweet Spot (Trademarked by Candy Colored Clowns

Since we are done with the Trade Season and the IFAB Day, all we really have left is the pennant race and the Chase For Home Team Discount. At the close of games on Tuesday, August 3rd, the race for the Sweet Spot (trademarked by Candy Colored Clowns) shaped up this way.

4th place Mo's Red Hots 62 points .06 (Fielder, Dempster, B. Molina, Kuo, Lindstrom)
5th place Graging Bulls 61.5 points .05 (Milledge, Cantu, Montero, Billingsley, C. Jackson)
6th place Kenndoza Line 49.5 points .04 (Jimenez)
7th place Copperfields 41 points .03 (no expiring contracts)
8th place Twin Killers 38 points .03 (no expiring contracts)
9th place Morkertzuma's Revenge 34.5 points .03 (no expiring contracts)
10th place Dem Rebels 33 points .03 (Reynolds, Ianetta)

The Bulls have every incentive to gain at least a half point so they can max out the HTD Budget of .06. Dem Rebels and the Line have incentive to keep the ratio up so they get as many pennies as possible to use on Draft Day. The Copperfields, Twin Killers and Revenge are running for pride.

2010 Trading Complete

The 2010 CFCL Trade Deadline has passed quietly with no trades being completed on the final day. Not surprising considering 21 trades have been made since Opening Day. There may not have been any players left to trade or any owners with the energy to think of a deal.

No trading is allowed until the end of the first round of Winter Waivers, sometime in January 2011.

We are now just two hours and fifty-three minutes away from our next deadline, normal Free Agent Bidding as well as IFAB. All bids and associated moves must be submitted by 3pm Central Time.

Ruffins & Copperfields Redux

A week after combining on a 10-player trade, the Ruffins and Copperfields are at it again, though this time on a smaller scale.

With twelve hours remaining until the trade deadline, the Copperfields agreed to send outfielder Josh Willingham (.23 12+) to the Ruffins for starting pitcher Clayton Richard (.10 12+), shortstop prospect Dee Gordon (.05 Mx), and the Ruffins 7th round Rotation Draft pick in 2011.
